Sun Paper makes enhancing the independent innovation ability a strategic pivot for its development, has established a relatively comprehensive industrial system for scientific & technological innovation, and works to make breakthroughs in breaking restrictions on the development of science, technology and talent, so as to make itself embark progressively on a sound path toward innovation-driven and endogenous growth.

Sun Paper has two state-level innovation platforms, namely the Sun Paper National Enterprise Technology Center and the Sun Paper Post-doctoral Research Workstation, as well as provincial-level R&D platforms such as academician workstation, Shandong Bio-based Materials Technology Innovation Center and Bio-based Light Industrial Product Green Technology Collaboration and Innovation Center, etc. The innovation platforms boast advanced and specialized scientific research equipment. Thanks to its superior scientific research environment and strong technical strengths, Sun Paper has attracted a large number of high-tech talent. Currently, Sun Paper cooperates with four academicians, has four Taishan leaders (scholars) and over 50 technology leaders and doctoral degree holders, has developed well-structured talent echelons, laid a firm foundation for maintaining its strong abilities of scientific and technological innovation and continuing to set the development trends of China’s papermaking industry, and ensured that it takes the lead in the industry in innovative research and development.
